Lindabeth O. Vaughan, age 64, passed away on April 12, 2011. Born in San Angelo, TX on March 1, 1947, she was the daughter of Jack and Eunice Damron Oldham. Moving to Pearsall, TX as a young girl, she graduated from the Pearsall High School in 1964. Soon after graduating, her love of antiques and all things western led her into taxidermy and wild west museum ownership. She had a natural inherited artistic talent. Oil painting was one of her favorite pastimes. In 1987 she graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service excelling in embalming and restorative art. Moving to Boerne, Texas, in 1992, she and her husband, David Vaughan, opened Vaughans’ Funeral Home. Preceded in death by her parents and niece, Merriebeth Pate, Lindabeth is survived by her husband of 24 years, David Vaughan; Children, Amybeth Thomason (Brad), Lucy Shultz, and Alan Vaughan; 3 step children; sisters, Alice Pate (Rowdy) and Becky Oldham (Dodson);
nieces, Robin Pate, Kari Weed, Paula Pancoast; great nephews, Jake McNeese, Jess Copeland, and Sammy Ramirez, Jr. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Vaughans’ Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Sunday, April 17 at 4:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Boerne. The Interment will be private. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Vaughan’s Funeral Home.

So sorry to hear of my old friend passing, we were children when our Mothers were good friends in Carrizo Springs. In fact I was remembering fond memories of that childhood just this morning before I read the paper. Good memories.
