MARTIN ADDISON

Funeral services for Martin J Addison, 74, of Boerne, TX and a native of Stockton, Missouri, will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010, at Vaughan's Funeral Home in Boerne. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Vaughan's Funeral Home.
A second service with military honors and burial will be held in Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
Born on July 14, 1936 in Stockton, Missouri, he worked for many years as an auto mechanic. He served four years in the United States Army, and he married the former Mary Ann Pryer on March 18, 1961. In Missouri, he worked as an auto mechanic, at one time owning a garage and service station in Stoutland, Missouri, and later worked for a garage in Lebanon, Missouri, for a number of years.
He and his wife moved to Boerne in August of 1983, and he worked as an auto mechanic at Lester's Automotive and then at Western Auto before retiring in 2000. He died on Monday, July 26, 2010 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Ann Addison of Boerne; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Terry Harden of Strafford, Missouri, and Doris and Paul Keane of Waynesboro, Mississipi; his mother-in-law Lorene Pryer of Boerne, two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Lucille Pryer of Boerne and Bob and Betty Brieding of Walnut Grove, Missouri; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty and Frank Stark of Strafford, Missouri and Mary Lou Shurtz of Stockton, Missouri; and a brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Mabel Addison, Jr., of Sedalia, Missouri; five grandchildren, Chris Keane of Starkville, Mississipi, Kelly Keane of Waynesboro, Mississippi and Steven Keane, also of Waynesboro, Mississippi, Jason Harden of Strafford, Missouri and Lindsay Young of Marshfield, Missouri, and one great-granddaughter, Jaelynn Young of Marshfield, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Addison, Sr., and Nell Fleeman Addison; three brothers, Jim Addison, Bill Addison and Mike Addison; and his father-in-law, Clarence Pryer.
Vaughan Funeral Home of Boerne is in charge of local arrangements, and Greenlawn East Funeral Home of Springfield, Missouri, is in charge of the second service.
